How to Lose Weight using Water?
Drinking water and weight loss are connected with each other directly. Even a slight dehydration can delay the functions of the body by 50%. Dehydration can be caused by consuming caffeinated drinks like tea, coffee, alcohol and soft drinks. One drink of beer does not cause dehydration but wine and hard liquor can dehydrate the body as their alcohol content is high. Symptoms of dehydration are tiredness, headaches and loss of concentration.

The easiest way to find out whether you are well hydrated or not is to check the color of the urine. If your urine color is lighter like lemonade that means you are well-hydrated and if it is darker like apple juice than you are dehydrated. Compared to hydrated people, dehydrated people get more problems in getting rid of the calories. The daily need of water for adult men is 3 liters per day while adult women need 2.2 liters.

Pregnant and nursing women need somewhat more water than normal as medicines like antihistamines and some antidepressants raise the fluid needs. The daily water need of a person differs due to their size and activity level. People who are more active need more water. Climate also affects the water needs of the person. In hot weather, you need more water to drink as they sweat more. When the weather is humid and warm, you need 2 times more water than dry weather. When you breathe frigid and dry air, you lose more water.

Drinking Water and Weight Loss

If you drink sufficient amount of water, your kidneys will function at their optimal level. But when the kidneys don’t perform well, liver helps them to do their task and due to this additional work, liver does not perform its metabolizing function properly. So the fat remains in the body and doesn’t get transformed into fuel, which cause weight gain. Therefore you must drink sufficient amount of water for weight loss. Drinking water before the meals makes you feel fuller soon and suppress your appetite so prevent you from overeating. Drinking ice cold water helps you to burn calories while hot water helps intestines to flush out toxins. Water also adds energy and activates fiber. Drinking hot lemon water in the morning speeds up the weight loss process by 3 times.
