Get tips on How to Dry Nail Polish Faster?

One of the most frustrating things while painting the nails is messing them up right after you are done! It is really difficult to tell when the nail polish is completely dry. Sometimes, it may feel like dry but when you touch the nails to check it out, it smudges and you get your fingerprint marks on your lovely nail-paints. If you have a busy schedule and don't have time to wait for an hour for the nail paint to dry, you just need a better solution. If you really want to avoid those fingerprint marks and annoying dents on your nails, then just follow the tips given here. These five ways will help your nails polish dry quicker.

Ice Water

Before you start polishing your nails, fill a bowl with ice cubes and run cold water on the top. After you have finished painting, dip your nails in the bowl for about a minute. To avoid smudges, just be sure that your nails are dry before drying your hands off. In this way, you can get your job done with something you already have in the house. This is a great way to protect your nails against divots, since it helps solidify the nail polish all the way through, not just on the top.
Air

If you don't have time for blowing on the nails or waving them around as well you are tired of your husband or boyfriend laughing at your hand motions then try using a blow dry. To speed up the drying process, set your hair drier on the lowest or ‘cool’ setting and use it on your nails for a couple of minutes. You can also use the fan for this purpose. In fact, some stores also carry nail fans which are battery operated and work with a press of the button. These nail drier fans work really well. You should get one for drying your nails.

Spray

These days, many different sprays are also available in the markets that help dry your nails faster. These can help your polish set dry usually within 30 to 60 seconds. Some of these sprays are also available in a gloss form that leaves your nails with an attractive shine. Just wait for a minute after you spray it on and wash your hands so you don't smell like canola oil. This is possibly one of the quickest ways to dry your nails and it also adds an extra layer to protect your nail polish. But Pam (and some other cooking oil aerosols) may also do the job well.

Quick-dry topcoat

You can also use a quick drying top coat to dry off your nails faster. This is a smart way to keep everything in place and protect your polish. This top coat hardens quickly because it contains mineral oil that dries faster. They protect your nails from smudges. You can find these quick drying clear polishes at your local beauty supply and drug stores. The only warning is that the still-liquid polish underneath can move around, resulting in ripples or lumps, so do not treat it as a cure-all.

Thin coats

You need to apply two or three layers of polish in order to achieve evenly applied nail polish. Apply thin coats of nail paint. If the layers are thick, it will take much longer time to dry. Let each coat dry for a couple of minutes before applying the next layer. Probably, it slows down your manicure, but actually makes overall drying much faster.
